Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows your gynaecologist to look inside your uterus in order to diagnose and treat causes of abnormal uterine bleeding. This procedure is done by inserting a thin telescope (hysteroscope) into the uterus through the vagina. If necessary, treatment (like removal of polyps) can be done at the same setting.
